Yesterday I had my last viola lesson in Giessen. It was an unexpected 'last' since we thought we would be meeting one more time next week, but unfortunately can not because of our conflicting out of town schedules.I wanted to (re-)learning to play the viola since I moved to Germany and it my wish came true on my last birthday. The weekly lessons and practice times in-between were not only fun, but something outside my normal routine, and something outside the house! It was also a way to tap into the creative side of me that sometimes lays too dormant.
I hope to continue with viola lessons in the future, but for now, I am done with lessons and the rental viola will be returned this week.
I am thankful not only for the opportunity to play the viola this, but also for the friends that gifted me the gift of music.
