This Sunday I was over at a friends apartment for lunch in the city center, above a bookstore. As we were eating, we heard a band begin to play! We looked outside the window and saw a marching band walking down the pedestrian shopping street. After trying to think of what holiday it may be, we figured the band must be marching around the city center for 'Shopping Sunday'. Usually, all stores are closed on Sundays (except for a few hours in the morning when bakeries are allowed to be open). But apparently there is one (or a few) Sundays a year when a city decides to allow it's stores to be open on Sunday.
This was also a lesson for me to start taking my camera with me everywhere, one never knows when a parade will march by!
