Last weekend I had the privilege of attending and helping at a wedding. My job was to collect empty glasses and plates from the cake and champagne reception.
After the wedding I crashed on my couch- more my feet crashed and the rest of me with them! As I was lying there try to fall asleep (my bed was just too far away), I heard a loud boom outside my window! Then another! Lights were also flashing in the sky- it was fireworks! The park down the street from my apartment is having a fair for two weeks, and I guess fireworks are part of the weekend fun. So, I got a great show of fireworks from my little triangular window. And my achey feet didn't have to take one step to see them.
Glad you enjoyed the fireworks!..Yes, memories can be a source of strength and also sorrow. As the Pa Dutch would say..the sweet sour of life makes the dish better!

Girl you can come anytime :) Couch or no couch. It makes me happy to know that you are close to me... even if by close I mean the next country over. Love to you!
ReplyDeleteHey Kate...
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about your life. So, I am sitting here in TN...patiently (sometimes) waiting for Japan. I am at about 72% :) I love reading your thoughts and times when you need encouragement. Even if I don't comment on everything you say, I still am thinking about you. I love you and miss you! You are an inspiration to me :) I'll be on that road with you soon! Love you, Elisabeth
