photo update

Just a few random pictures from my past few days I thought I would share.
One morning last week I was wide awake at 4 am. (Very strange. I am NOT a morning person. If I am awake at 4 am it is usually because I have not gone to bed yet.) Anyway, I decided since I was up, and it was light out by 5 am, I would take a walk. It was a cool, and still quiet morning. I remembered to bring my camera and was able to capture some shots of the baby swans with their parents. But they are now adolescents!
I also got a shot that morning of this house. when I first arrived to town in winter, this house almost looked haunted because of all the dried vines on it. Now it just blends in!

Today I was walking and saw this Beetle parked next to a park with a church. How German- a church steeple and a Volkswagen. When I see views like this it really hits me that I am living in Germany.
Notice anything different about this package of eggs? Interesting fact I learned today, packages of eggs come in packages of 6 or 10, not 12! I have been buying eggs since I moved here, but usually I just buy a half dozen. I never noticed that the larger packages are only of ten eggs and not a dozen. Small things like this also make me realize that I am not living in the U.S. anymore.

  3. Beautiful photos. I remember seeing an old Wang Computer commercial where a woman drives a VW Beetle to a huge, old stone church in a German village and plays a powerful organ. Your photo totally reminded me of that. Sometimes morning walks help bring clarity to life and reveals things you just didn't know or see before. This is beautiful.
