Countdown and Travel Plans

The countdown has begun! Actually, the countdowns have begun. The following dates are circled on my calendar:

• August 1- leave Charlotte and drive to PA.
• August 10- fly to Berlin!
• August 13- begin certification course to get trained and certified to teach English as a foreign language.
• September 7 (hopefully!)- move into my new home in Berlin and start working with the team in Berlin. 

Not surprisingly I am being a lot if I am excited. I really am. However, every time I am asked, I think back to an introduction video we made for a mission trip to Germany in 2006. Each one us on the video mentioned that we were 'excited' for the trip. Later on I found out that the Germans found this funny.They do not use the word in the same way we do. Even the word for 'excited' could also mean 'nervous' or 'agitated'.

So, yes, I am very excited, and maybe a little nervous too. :)
