Getting Planted

I do NOT have a green thumb. Many potted plants have met their demise in my care, and I did try. One of the problems I have is knowing when things should be planted. The little maps they have on the back of seed packs are just pretty works of art to me. But really they are helpful guides letting a planter know when the right time to plant that seed is depending on there you live.
Just as with those maps on seed packets, and I am also not so great at reading that map on the seed packet of my life either. Thankfully, I am not the planter of my life; God is.
I was ready to get to Berlin in March. Or at least I felt ready. But God knew better and knew that it was not the right season for me to get planted there. I could have gone, and maybe even bloomed a bit, but it was not yet the ideal planting season to put down roots.
In August I am returning to Germany, moving to Berlin, to take a 4-week intensive course to get certified to teach English as a foreign language. I am excited to see what God has planned for this next season and am hoping it will be a season to put down roots.
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens"
Ecclesiastes 3:1
