So, I promised to share what was 'different' for my nephew while he was here, and I will, as well as some photos from our week together. But this is a 'it's-not-so-different-after-all' post.
I already wrote about the cultural norm of closing doors to rooms. I know this, but when I am in a room alone (i.e. no Germans) I keep the door open. However my nephew kept closing the doors! It goes to show that there are many micro-cultural differences within cultures, and apparently, also within families. ;)
