It's Different- Taking out the Garbage

In our house we have weekly and monthly chores, complete with a cute little chore chart that I made to help keep us on track, and sometimes even works! One of the weekly chore assignments is taking out the trash, which is another 'it's different' thing in Germany. Trash is still trash, but how the trash is handled is very different.
The main difference is how it gets sorted. There are four types of trash that get collected. The categories are: Altpapier (paper); BioMüll (biodegradable trash); Gelbesack (recyclable trash); and Restmüll (trash that does not fit one of the first three categories).
To make the sorting process easier, quicker, and less icky, homes have various trash cans inside the house. So when someone asks, "where's the trash can?", they need to be more specific to get to the right trash can.
Three of our four trash containers in the garage, the 4th is out on the curb- somebody remembered their chore for the week!
