Swans

Here are some pictures from Schwanteich, or Swan Pond, close to my apartment. The one above is of the (mommy?) swan sitting on the nest. The following pictures are from yesterday, the first day I got to see the baby swans!

Notice the difference from the large, white and elegant parents to the small, gray and fuzzy babies. So cute though!
I was sitting on a bench doing my homework when I saw the parents swim by. It was so cool because the one parent was carrying the babies on her back! It was just like watching a Swan ride at a carnival. The four baby swans got off the ride to eat some of the food being fed to them.

Seeing the swan's wings, and how they were raised protectively, was such a picture to me of how God has me under his wings, and on his back. He is carrying me along, and protecting me all at the same time. Amazing.

It will be fun to see how the baby swans grow from these little gray ducklings into the beautiful swans. I will keep you posted with more pictures and analogies! :)
